Students entering this seminar must have gotten a score of at least 850 in the Test of English for International Communication-Institutional Program (TOIEC-IP) and must have taken at least one of my two survey courses (sociolinguistics and/or migration linguistics) and must have passed them on first instance. If these criteria are met, interested students could then proceed to deliver a ten-minute oral presentation (in English) on a specific topic of their choice within sociolinguistics.
