Introduction to International Political Economy

国際政治経済学とは安全保障を除く様々な国際問題を扱う学問です。この授業では、どのような国際問題が存在し、国際社会はどのように解決のために取り組み、どのような障害があるのかについて、基本的な知識を学びます。
|
|
|
|
International Political Economy (IPE) is a discipline covering any global issues except security. In this course, we learn what kinds of global issues exist, how international society attempt to solve them, and what are the obstacles to the efforts.
|
|
|
|
最初に、国際社会はどのような構造をしているのか、その中で国家は互いにどのように対立し、協調し合うのかについて、政治学や経済学、法学の観点から学びます。続いて、貿易、金融、通貨、開発、環境、人権といった主要な国際問題について概観します。最後に、経済安全保障や地域統合といった発展的トピックを扱います。

First, we understand the fundamental structure of international society and cooperation and conflict among states from the viewpoints of political science, economics and law. Second, we review major global issues like trade, finance, currency, development, environment, and human rights. Finally, we cover some advanced topics such as economic security and regional integration.

なお、2単位科目のため、授業一回につき4時間の事前・事後学習を予定しています。
