歴史的な視点を基礎に、インドネシアを中心とした東南アジアの社会的・文化的事象をより深く専門性をもって理解するとともに、博士論文の作成に向けて、専門的観点からの独創的な知見を得るための課題を発見し、そのための方法論を獲得する。

Students will further deepen their special knowledge about and understanding of the social and cultural aspects of Southeast Asia from historical point of view, with special emphasis on Indonesia, and find a original research topic, and become familiar with appropriate methodology for the research.

Students will read and discuss academic literature broadly on Indonesia and other areas of Southeast Asia.

Students will read and discuss academic literature broadly on social and cultural aspects of Indonesia and other areas of Southeast Asia. Students will present their reports according to their research topic and participate in discussion.
