Takashi Fujitani, Race for Empire, California University Press, 2013を輪読し、既存の書評を検討したあとで、自らが課題として書評を執筆し、参加者全員で合評会を行う。

Weekly seminars will include the reading of one to two chapters of the assigned book and/or peer reviewed journal articles, followed by open discussions.

発表（30％）、ディスカッションへの参加度（20％）、指定図書の書評（2000字）（50％）で総合的に評価する。

担当箇所の発表の事前準備は当然だが、既存の書評の検討を行うための資料調査、書評を書くための資料調査や本書で取り上げられる重要な研究書のサーヴェイを必ず行うこと。

Reading Reviews: Each lecture has readings assigned to it. Students should read the material and bring a short paper to be handed in until the beginning of each class.
|
|
|
初回に発表担当を決めるので、受講希望者は必ず出席すること。
輪読する研究書はオリジナルが英語なので、一定の英語力が必要。
