第二言語習得に関する先端的理論について学び、高度な専門的知識を深めること。
 
Goals of the course   
To learn about state of the art theoretical frameworks in Second Language Acquisition, and deepen knowledge in the area.
 
授業の概要   
近年の第二言語習得理論の発展を概観する文献を読解・考察する。また理論を踏まえた英語教育現場への応用可能性を探る。
 
Overview of the course   
We will read and discuss a book that introduces six alternative theoretical approaches to studying second language acquisition.

成績評価の方法・基準   
授業内議論への積極的参加と口頭発表に基づく平常点（50％）、および期末レポート（50％）により、総合的に評価する。
 
Grading system for assessment   
Active participation in class discussions and oral presentations (50％), term paper (50％)
 
事前・事後学習【要する時間の目安】   
口頭発表の担当ではない場合も、文献を読解し、議論ができるよう事前準備を十分にしてくること。
 
Preview/review   
Be sure you read the chapter before class even when you are not in charge of presenting the chapter.
Be ready to discuss your views towards the approach.

授業はすべて英語のみで行います。テキストは各自アマゾンなどで購入して、１回目の授業に持参してください。
