日本近世史研究の動向を理解し、史料に基づいた専門的な日本近世史研究論文を執筆するための訓練を行う。

The object of this course is to understand research trend in the field of Japanese early modern history, and to acquire the skills to write a thesis based on historical documents or materials.
|

毎回、受講生が自らの研究テーマに則して、研究動向整理や、史料を用いた研究報告を行い、修士論文の執筆に備える。 史料講読の訓練の一環として、荻生徂徠『政談』を報告の合間に輪読する。
|
|
|
Each week students make a report on their research theme, especially about summary of research trend and result of their examinations. And also students read 荻生徂徠 (Ogyuusorai) 's 『政談』 (Seidan) in turns as training for reading.

"In this class, students will take initiative in making a report of their research. Each week students will summarize and comment on a previous study, examine historical documents, make a report, and exchange opinions each other. Students other than the reporter will be expected to read reference books or documents that designated by reporter in advance of the class in order to be able to engage actively in discussion.

As Active Learning, we plan to hold off-campus research to study Japanese traditional streetscape and to conduct investigations of historical documents."

Students are expected to work on assignments based on individual themes of the thesis.

原則として歴史学的手法により日本近世・近代史に関する修士論文を執筆しようとすること。

|

As a general rule, students are expected to try to write a master thesis on Japanese early modern history based on historiography.
