World History and Area Histories
 
授業の目標   
諸地域の深い歴史研究から世界史の流れ、インパクトが見えてくる。狭い専門地域以外の歴史を広く知り、考察することで地域の特性を理解し、さらに時代により広い地域、世界全体で進行している問題にも理解を深める。
 
Goals of the course   
Understand the characteristics of the areas which students are specializing in by examining the history of other areas. Also, obtain in-depth understanding of issues developing in wider areas or worldwide.
 
授業の概要   
海外事情研究所が7月末に主催する世界史セミナーに参加し、聴講することを通じて世界全体の歴史的展開、世界史の可能性、諸地域の具体的な歴史展開を学ぶ。自分の深く知っている地域以外でも共通の問題も見えてくるだろうし、対応の違いからそれぞれの地域理解を深めることも目指す。そこから、世界史教育の場でどのような問いを生徒に発すればよいかのヒントもえられるであろう。
 
Overview of the course   
Study the historical development of the entire world and specific area as well as the potential of the world history
by participating in the world history seminar at the end of July hosted by the Institute for Global Area Studies.

履修上の注意   
世界史セミナーが7月27日(水)、28日（木）、29日（金）に予定されているので必ず全て休まず参加すること。世界史の教員を目指すものは必ず履修して欲しい。教員志望でない学生にとっても歴史理解を深めるのに非常に刺激になるので参加を勧める。
 
Notes   
The seminar will be held on July 27 through July 29. Be sure to attend all three days. Students who aspire to be a teacher of the world history are required to take this course.
This course are also recommendable for other students, as it should be stimulating in developing your understanding of histories.
