Principles and Practice in Using the CEFR (1) : Introducing the CEFR-J project
 
授業の目標   
本講義は Super Global University (SGU) の特設科目である。ヨーロッパ言語共通参照枠（CEFR）をヨーロッパの言語のみならずすべての外国語の学習・教育・評価に共通に利用して統一的なカリキュラムと評価を行うためには、どのような理論的枠組みの理解、言語材料の整備、教材・タスク・テストの開発などが必要かを CEFR-J という講師が開発している枠組みを基にその概論と具体的な手法の解説を行う。
 
Goals of the course   
This is a special lecture offered as a part of the Super Global University (SGU) project funded by MEXT
This course helps postgraduate students acquire fundamental knowledge about the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the possibility of applying the CEFR to various foreign languages, including non-EU languages. As a case study, we will examine the CEFR-J project for English language teaching in Japan.
 
授業の概要   
CEFRの基本的な理念と主要な概念の構造および中核となる can do ディスクリプタの作成とリストの妥当性検証に関して基本的な理解を深めてもらう。同時に、A1からC2までの言語能力レベルに関して、感覚を養うための familiarization のトレーニングも持つ。それをもとに各個別言語ではどのようなレベル別特徴が想定されるかを言語ごとに学生にレポートしてもらう。CEFR-J の開発経緯と方法を吟味する中で、多言語展開への応用可能性や課題を議論する。
 
Overview of the course   
The course will expect students to acquire the following knowledge and skills:
1) the basic knowledge of reference level descriptions
2) how to build resources for language teaching: wordlist, phrase/collocation list, dictionary, grammar book, etc.
3) how to build each language's resources in a different way
4) how to use NLP technologies to assist the compilation of those educational resources

SGU CEFR-J x 27 プロジェクトに貢献してくれる人材の養成も目的の１つとなっている。自分の言語で CEFR 基準で教育・学習・評価を行う、という課題設定をもって臨んで欲しい。将来は授業を取る以外に、プロジェクトのために活躍してもらえる人材を輩出したい。
