The goal of this course is for students to learn how to write an academic research paper.
|

|
In this course, students will learn how to research, evaluate sources, take notes, organize notes into an outline, write a rough draft, paraphrase data, revise the rough draft into a final draft, and prepare a paper for presentation.

The grade will be based almost entirely on the final paper for homework. The basis for grading is how well the student is able to incorporate the elements of a good research paper, particularly references and documentation.

Students will not be assigned regular weekly homework but will have one large homework that they will be expected to work on throughout the semester.
