国際社会の関心事となっている国内紛争の要因や国連などを通じた第三者による紛争解決と紛争後の平和構築支援を分析する視角を学ぶことで、破綻国家や脆弱国家の再建のために取り組まれているさまざまな努力に対する理解を深める。
This intensive three-day course aims to provide students with an analytical framework and models to examine the contemporary issues of international affairs, such as the sources of internal conflict and third-party intervention for conflict resolution and post-conflict peacebuilding. The course will also cover challenges of rebuilding failed or fragile states in the world.

参加型の楽しい集中講義にします。初日に概要を説明します。2日目には理論モデルや分析枠組みを学び、３日目には、それらを用いて、危機的状況下で人命を救う取り組みを検討し、グループ作業やロールプレイを使った疑似体験を通じて学びます。4日目には、紛争後に平和な関係を取り戻すために必要な措置について学びます。
This intensive course will be fun and a participatory one. In Day 1, overview of this course will be provided. In Day 2, we will learn theoretical models and analytical frameworks. In Day 3, application of these tools will be attempted using the interactive format such as group work and role play (simulation) of an emergency situation. In Day 4, we will focus on the efforts to resolve and rebuild a peaceful relationship in a conflict affected society.
