イスラームや中東の研究に関する講義を提供するとともに、受講者の中の希望者による研究発表を行い、イスラーム研究、中東研究に必要な知識の幅の拡大を目指す。

Help students to develop knowledge necessary for them to do research on Islam and the Middle East through giving lectures.
Students, if desired, have opportunities to present their research.

中東・イスラームに関する諸地域・諸分野の講師（学外の教員を含む）による6回の講義を受け、質疑に積極的に参加する。希望者には自身の研究に関する発表とそれに付随した質疑の時間を設けることがある。

Several instructors including those outside TUFS will offer six lectures in total on the Middle East and Islam.
Students actively participate in Q&A sessions.
If desired, students are able to make presentation on their own research with Q&A session.

This is an intensive course from September 14 through September 17.

日本イスラム協会（編）『イスラム事典』（平凡社）などを通じて、中東・イスラームに関する基本的な学習をしておくのが望ましい。

Students are encouraged to acquire the basic knowledge on the Middle East and Islam by reading 『イスラム事典』日本イスラム協会（編）（平凡社）, etc.

|
|
履修申請締切前に行われる学内ガイダンスに出席しなかった者の受講は原則として認めない。なお、ガイダンスの日時は学内に掲示する。

|
In principle, students who missed the TUFS guidance held prior to the registration deadline are not allowed to take this course. The date of the guidance will be announced on the bulletin board.
