Culture and History of Oceania-Island societies(J)
 
授業の目標   
オセアニアに関する代表的な事象、トピックを理解する。英語の学術文献を読みこなし、批判的に議論できる力をつける。具体的な目標としては、オセアニア島嶼部に関し、大学学部生を教えられるレベルの知識と批判的討論力を身に着けることとする。
 
Goals of the course   
This class is to learn basic histories and issues of Oceania. Students are to gain the enough knowledge and critical viewpoints to teach undergraduate class on Oceania.
 
授業の概要   
授業課題は下の二つであり、双方の課題を行わない場合は単位を認められない。
(1).授業において使う文献を割り振るので、担当者は基本文献のレジュメを作り、ディスカッションの話題となるポイント、質問などを作成。授業においては質問を割り振り、ディスカッションをリードする。
注意:1.担当者は基本文献のほか、参考文献をも購読し、ディスカッションの幅を広げることが望ましい。
2.自分の担当以外の週でも、最低基本文献は読んでくること。
3.シラバスに挙げた以外の文献を基本文献として使用したい場合には、一週間前までに申し出ること。ただし、英語の学術文献でオセアニアに関するものであること。
4.文献を使用する際には、著者のバックグラウンドにも注意を払う必要がある
(2).レビュー論文(文献目録):オセアニアに関しトピックを設定し、そのレビューを行う。最低学術文献30は集めること(内25は英語)。字数は文献リストを含まず8000字ほど。
注意:1.授業で使用した文献やシラバスに載っている文献は使用しないこと
2.提出期限 Week 13.Week15において発表。
 
Overview of the course   
Each student is assigned the topic, give the presentation, and lead the discussion. As well as the topics assigned by the lecturer, they also choose their own topic and reading in the latter half of this class.

They are also expected to make a literature review on the topic they choose as one of the assignments.
