Current Issues in Language Testing

- Obtain the basic knowledge and latest development of assessment and learning necessary to teach the second language. - Acquire assessment methods to facilitate self-efficacy and autonomous learning. - Cultivate autonomous teaching ability to design goals and activities reversely from assessment.

CEFR(Common European Framework of Reference for language) , which is now being referred to around the world, describes language proficiency levels from the perspective of what one can do with the language. While ELP(European Language Portfolio) shows such activity-oriented achievement indicators as can-do lists, and is utilized to facilitate autonomous learning. In this class, we will make a Can-Do list in order to set the achievement goals in classrooms, design learning activities reversely from assessment, and think how we integrate learning with assessment. We will think about assessment which helps learning and improves self-efficacy and autonomy.
