It has been revealed in recent years that economic growth does not necessarily bring poverty reduction in the region, and as a counter-concept social development has attracted more attention. Social development covers various fields such as education, medical care, health and hygiene, disaster prevention and the environment. At the same time, it is closely linked to development issues such as “residents’ participation in development,” the “gender gap in development,” and “socially vulnerable people”. In this course, we will have an overview of the concept of international cooperation and discuss its issues in so-called developing countries.
