二つのコースに分けてゼミを行う。＜A＞東南アジア経済研究、＜B＞タイ地域研究のどちらかに所属して学ぶ。双方のコースで学んでもかまわない。授業目標は、＜A＞近現代の東南アジア経済の発展や構造変化について理解を深める、＜B＞タイ地域研究について理解を深める、である。

The seminar will be conducted in two parts. (A) Southeast Asian Economics, (B) Thai Studies. Students will study in either area or both. The objectives of this course are (A) to gain a deeper understanding of the development and structural changes in modern Southeast Asian Economics and (B) to gain a more in-depth understanding of Thai Studies.

＜A＞19世紀後半から現代に至る、東南アジアの工業化、貿易構造、農業経済の変化を中心に学ぶ。＜B＞タイの歴史・政治・経済に関わる代表的な文献を輪読し、タイという地域について深く学ぶ。

(A) The focus will be on the industrialization, trade and agricultural economics in Southeast Asia during from the latter half of the 19th century to the present. (B) Students will take turns reading from exemplary literature in Thai history, politics and economics, and study Thailand more in-depth, as a region.
