現代東南アジア経済について、開発体制、社会主義諸国の市場経済化、アジア通貨経済危機、FTA・地域統合の進展、サブプライム問題に端を発する世界的景気後退の影響を中心に分析する。
|

|
In this course, students will learn about modern Southeast Asian economy by analyzing the impact from the development framework, the market economy of socialist states, Asian currency and economic crisis, FTA/development of regional integration, the World-wide recession resulting from the subprime mortgage problem.

現代東南アジア経済を理解するために、（1）東南アジアの経済構造に大きな衝撃を与えた1997年のアジア通貨経済危機の背景、実態、およびその後の経済回復と2008年以降の景気後退について検証する。さらに、（2）ASEANを取り巻く重層的な自由貿易体制の枠組みについて学ぶ。WTO、APECにも触れるが、主にAFTA、二国間FTA、ASEAN・中国の経済関係、ASEAN・日本の経済関係、「東アジア共同体」、TPPの行方などを中心に検証する。授業計画（予定）（1）現代東南アジア経済論の概要、（2）ASEANにおけるFTAの進展：AFTAの進展と日系企業、（3）アジア通貨経済危機①経済ブームから危機へ、（4）アジア通貨経済危機②危機のメカニズム、（5）アジア通貨経済危機③危機の経済的影響、（6）アジア通貨経済危機④危機の社会的影響、（7）アジア通貨経済危機からの回復：「足るを知る経済」、（8）アジア通貨経済危機からの回復：農業分野、（9）アジア通貨経済危機からの回復：自動車産業、（10）ASEANを取り巻く重層的な自由貿易体制の枠組み①WTO・APEC・東アジア共同体、（11）ASEANを取り巻く重層的な自由貿易体制の枠組み②ASEANと中国の経済関係、（12）ASEANを取り巻く重層的な自由貿易体制の枠組み③二国間FTA：タイ・シンガポール、（13）ASEANを取り巻く重層的な自由貿易体制の枠組み④日本とASEANのFTA・EPA、（14）ASEANを取り巻く重層的な自由貿易体制の枠組み⑤日本の構造改革とFTA・EPA・TPP、（15）2008年以降の世界的景気後退と東南アジア経済

In order to understand the Southeast Asian economy, firstly, we will examine the background and the actual state of, and the economic restoration and recession after the Asian currency and economic crisis and after 2008 respectively. Secondly, we will learn about the multilayered framework of free trade system surrounding ASEAN by examining AFTA, bilateral FTA, ASEAN-China/Japan economic relations, “East Asian Community,” and how TPP will be. WTO and APEC will also be discussed.
