Title（English）   
Modern history of Mongolia II：Ethnic problems in Central Eurasia and modern Mongolia
 
授業の目標   
本講義の目的は、受講者が、中央ユーラシアにおける民族問題のあり方を、モンゴルのケースを通じて理解することです。また、講義を通じて、近現代のモンゴル、中央ユーラシアに関する基礎知識を身に付けることも目指します。
 
Goals of the course   
The aim of this class is to understand ethnic problems in Central Eurasia, and to get the basic information of modern Mongolia and Central Eurasia.
 
授業の概要   
長かった清朝統治が解体した20世紀初頭以降、中央ユーラシアでは民族問題が激しさを増しました。モンゴル人のケースは、その典型例であると言えます。モンゴル人の民族運動は、モンゴルのみに留まらず、周辺諸勢力との関係が大きく影響し、複雑な様相を取るようになっていきました。本講義では、20世紀の中央ユーラシアにおけるモンゴル人の自立を求める様々な運動を、当時の国際情勢との関係から解説し、中央ユーラシアにおける民族運動のあり方を検討します。
 
Overview of the course   
At the beginning of 20th century, ethnic problems in Central Eurasia got worse which could be symbolically seen in the case of Mongolia. National movements of Mongols was much influenced by its relationship with the surrounding states. In this class, I will teach you about Mongolian national movements by focusing on the international relations.

受講時の平常点（アクティブ・ラーニングを含む）＝50％、教場試験＝50％
試験の評価基準：授業の内容を理解し、それに基づいて近現代モンゴルにおける民族運動に対する自分の考えを論理的に述べることができるか。
アクティブ・ラーニングの評価基準：史料を正しく理解し、自分なりの考えを史料に基づいて論理的に述べることができるか。
 
Grading system for assessment   
Class participation (Including active learning)＝50％ examination＝50％
The evaluation criteria of examination: to understand the national movements of Mongols in the modern history of Mongolia correctly and to argue your opinion on it logically.
The evaluation criteria of active learning: to understand the texts correctly and to argue your opinion on it logically.

履修上の注意   
本講義の対象は、モンゴルに留まらず、広く東アジア、中央ユーラシアに渡るものになります。モンゴルはもちろん、東アジア、中央ユーラシアの近現代に興味がある学生の受講を期待します。
また、「モンゴル地域研究卒論・卒研」で卒論・卒研を提出する学生は、原則として、この科目を履修して下さい。
なお、教職課程認定上の教科に関する科目の外国史に該当します。
 
Notes   
I want the participation of the students who are interested not only in Mongolia, but also modern East Asia and Central Eurasia. Those who will submit thesis on “Mongolian studies” should attend the class. This class is approved as the foreign history of the teacher-training course (教職課程認定上の教科に関する科目の外国史).
