Introduction to Historiography

歴史を叙述することがどのような知的営みであるかについて考察する。
２０世紀フランスにおいて形成された歴史学の潮流について一定の理解を得る。

史学史historiographyという概念、また、歴史家のプラクティス、史料や方法の多様性について論じる。
「アナール派」として知られるフランスの歴史学を中心にとりあげる。また、その日本における受容についても言及する。
|
|
|
|
The course will introduce students to the concept of historiography and to the various practices of historians using a range of sources and method. While the evolution of the French historical movement known as the “Annales school” will be highlighted, particular attention will be given to its reception in Japan.
