主に英語圏文化にかんする卒業論文の執筆を予定する４年生を対象として、文献の蒐集からその精密な調査を経て、（英語あるいは日本語による）学術論文の執筆にいたる過程を指導します。将来的には修士論文にも発展させ得るような優れた卒業論文を完成させることが到達目標となります。

The aim of this course is to help students who are interested in the broad areas of cultural phenomena in the English-speaking world launch the process of researching and writing and complete their graduation theses.
|

|
主体的かつ積極的に発表を行ない、理論的考察を深め、興味の範囲を広げるとともに、各方面の能力を遺憾なく発揮できるようにします。準備段階においては、質問を想定した下調べを入念に行なうこと。
|

|
Students are required to deliver well-prepared and effective presentations.

第１回の授業から、すべての授業において入念な下準備を行なったうえで出席すること。授業に参加する姿勢の熱心さを２０パーセント、示された洞察力を３０パーセント、最終的な報告の内容を５０パーセントとして評価します。
|
|
|
|
Grades will be based on preparation before class (20%), insightful presentation (30%), and the written work (50%).
|
|
|
|
各回ごとのテーマに則した下調べを行なうこと。テクストや必要な参考文献、研究書、研究論文などを主体的に読み進み、疑問の箇所がないようにしておくこと。
|
|
|
|
Habitual perusal of the assigned work is essential. Also, the importance of the note-taking must not be neglected.
|
|
|
|
３年次において担当教員による「ヨーロッパ文化研究（講義）」と「ヨーロッパ文化研究（演習）」を受講していることを履修条件とします。綿密な予習、復習を欠かさないこと。
|
|
|
Highly recommended are:
1. several different types of dictionaries
2. a step-by-step training in logical thinking
3. the accumulation of theoretical or practical knowledge.
