授業の目標   
インドネシアに関する文献の講読を通じて、インドネシア文化に対する理解を深めるとともに、卒業論文の執筆（卒業研究の実施）に向けての準備を整える。
1) 学術的な文献を読みレジュメを作成できる。
2) 研究テーマを自ら立てることができる。
3) 研究テーマに関連する文献を探索することができる。
4) パソコンを使って学術的なレポートを作成することができる。
5) 学術的な討論に参加し、討論を運営することができる。
 
Goals of the course   
Students will deepen their understanding of Indonesian culture through reading literature on Indonesian culture and other related subjects. The course is designed to make students ready for writing a BA thesis. At the end of the course, students will be able to:
(1) read and summarize academic literature;
(2) find a research topic according to their own interest and ability;
(3) search academic literature which is relevant to their research topic;
(4) write an academic report with appropriate PC applications;
(5) participate in and organize an academic discussion.
 
授業の概要   
インドネシア文化に関する日本語、英語、インドネシア語の文献をゼミ形式で講読する。講読した文献のレジュメを報告し、討論をおこなう。並行して卒論作成に必要な技法を習得する。受講生の数および状況にあわせて変更する場合がある。講読する文献のテーマは受講生の関心にあわせて「ナショナリズム」「イスラーム」「インド化」「観光」「バリ・ヒンドゥー」などから選択する。
 
Overview of the course   
Students will read, summarize and discuss academic literature in Japanese, English or Indonesian, related specifically or broadly to Indonesian culture. The topics of literature may include: nationalism, Islam, Indianization, tourism, Bali Hinduism. They will also get familiarized with skills required for writing a BA thesis. The schedule may be changed according to the instructor's arrangement.

成績評価の方法・基準   
授業の討論への参加(30%）およびレポート（70%）により評価する。
 
Grading system for assessment   
Evaluation will be based on participation in class activities (30%) and reports (70%).
 
事前・事後学習【要する時間の目安】   
毎回の授業には、指定された参考文献を読んでおくこと。
 
Preview/review   
Students are required to read books and articles according to the instructor's instruction.
 
履修上の注意   
1）受講生は担当教員による「東南アジア古典文化論」を履修しておくことが望ましい。
2）担当教員による「卒業論文演習」において卒論・卒研の指導を受ける予定の者はこの科目を受講しておくこと。
 
Notes   
(1) It is desirable that students attend Classical Southeast Asian Culture.
(2) Students who wish to attend the instructor's Research Seminar must attend this course.
