Chinese Modern Vernacular Literature 2
 
授業の目標   
中国近世の口語体、いわゆる白話は現代中国語の直接のルーツであり、現代中国語の特徴を理解するには、白話の文体・語彙・表現等の理解が必須である。本講義は明代以降に出版された小説作品の精読を通じて近世語から現代語への変化・発展のプロセスを理解する。
 
Goals of the course   
The theme of this seminar is focused on comprehensive understandings about the Modern colloquial sytle, which is closely related to contemporary Mandarin Chinese.Students are requested to study about the transitional process from modern Chinese to contemporary Chinese.
 
授業の概要   
清末に出版された『清平山堂話本』中の一篇「花燈轎蓮女成佛記」を精読する。第1回目の授業で教材を配布し、あらかじめ分担部分を決めて2回目以降から読み進む。担当者は、分担部分の語彙（特に当時の地理・歴史・政治制度など時代背景に関連する事項）について調べ報告する。
 
Overview of the course   
We select a piece of the short stories from an old anthology published in Ming Period, and read through a careful inquiry as to its background of era and location.Students will be requested to make a report of investigation into the names of people, places, and occupations,and various words peculiar to that time as well.

成績評価の方法・基準   
平常授業における発表の内容と提出された報告の完成度により総合的に評価する。
 
Grading system for assessment   
The evaluations will be based on the report paper (80%)and performance on the discussion (20%).

Students are required to read the assigned texts carefully before the class.
 
履修上の注意   
少人数なので年間に数回の発表があり、下調べに相当の時間と労力を要することを心得られたい。
