授業の目標   
朝鮮語で書かれた小説を読み、朝鮮の言語・歴史・文化への理解を深める。
 
Goals of the course   
To read Korean literature in original language and further understand Korean language, history and culture.
 
授業の概要   
本授業では、韓国文学史の中で最も優れた短編作家として評価される李孝石と李泰俊の短編小説を読む。前半は原文と日本語訳版を比較しながら、後半は自ら訳しながらテキストを精読する。朝鮮語で書かれた文学作品を原文で読むだけでなく、植民地近代の美的表象や植民地文学の翻訳という問題についても、一緒に考えてみたい。
 
Overview of the course   
In this course, students will read short stories written by 李孝石 and 李泰俊, the most excellent short story novelists in the Korean literary history. In the first half of this course, students will read the original stories and compare them with Japanese translations. In the latter half, students will read and translate the stories by themselves. We will think about issues such as an aesthetic representation in the modern colonial era and translation of colonial literature together, not only reading Korean literature in its original language.

毎回の授業には、指定した参考文献をあらかじめ読んだ上で出席すること。

Be sure to read the assigned documents prior to the lectures.
 
履修上の注意   
授業は基本的に演習形式で行う。取り上げるテキストそれぞれについて報告者を決め、報告者は授業で注釈・比較の結果・疑問点などを発表する。ある特定部分の翻訳を受講者各自に提出してもらい、お互いの翻訳を比較しながら批評し合うことも考えている。発表をもとに全員で議論する。
 
Notes   
In this seminar, students are given opportunities to present their remarks, results of comparisons, questions and so on pertaining to their assigned documents. I would also like for students to compare their translation of the same documents and give comments to each other. Students will have discussions based on their presentations.
