The aim of this course is to introduce students to a survey of multicultural area, Bohemia, and to explore its cultural phenomena at the local, national, and international level.
|

|
「ボヘミア」を多言語的な空間として緩やかに捉えて、この地における文学の多様性および多層性について検討する。「ボヘミア／チェコ／プラハ」における文学は様々な言語で執筆されているが、「チェコ文学」「ドイツ文学」といった従来の国民文学の枠組みを一旦留保して、都市あるいは地域を単位とする文学史の構築を試みる。19世紀中葉から20世紀中葉までの時期を対象とし、文学と関連する美術、建築、音楽などの状況にも適宜触れる。

This course is an introduction to transnational culture of Bohemia. We will explore literature and fine arts that challenge traditional national, cultural or linguistic boundaries and examine how they represent the image of Bohemia and Prague. Students will be introduced to the concept of transnational culture alongside other paradigms such as minority literature, intercultural writing and multilingual literature.
