Title（English）   
Pragmatics for Japanese Education 1
 
授業の目標   
・日本語教育あるいは語用論に関するテーマで、後期に卒業論文を執筆する。
・論文執筆に向けてのデータ分析や考察の進捗状況を参加者にわかりやすく説明したり、他の参加者の発表に対して建設的なコメントができる。
 
Goals of the course   
In preparation for writing their graduation theses in the following term, students will aim to determine a theme of pragmatics, achieve research results and, in addition, learn how to apply them to Japanese education.
1. Each student will determine a theme for his or her thesis and create a writing plan.
2. Students will carefully read prior research and consider issues relevant to their themes.
3. Students will collect or examine required data.
4. Students will provide other participants with easy-to-understand descriptions of their research progress and give constructive comments on the presentations of other participants.
 
授業の概要   
各自が、卒業論文執筆の進捗状況を報告し、それについて参加者で討議する。
 
Overview of the course   
Each student will create a research plan based on their themes.
Students will present and discuss interim reports on the directions of their graduation theses writing, content of prior research and their progress in data collection and examination.

成績評価の方法・基準   
論文執筆準備のプロセス、授業参加の積極性、課題提出状況から総合的に評価する。
 
Grading system for assessment   
Comprehensive grading based on the preparatory processes for writing a graduation thesis, activeness class participation and quality of submitted assignments.
 
事前・事後学習【要する時間の目安】   
事前学習：その回の発表者のハンドアウトを事前に読み、研究テーマや分析方法について概要を掴んでおく。
事後学習：自己の発表の反省点、あるいは他の学生の発表に対する見解をまとめる。
 
Preview/review   
Students must read the handouts distributed by the presenters prior to their presentations.
 
履修上の注意   
当該教員を指導教員とし、卒業論文を執筆する学生に限る。
 
Notes   
The course is limited to students who have elected the designated instructor as their graduation thesis advisor.
