相談、司法、教育、行政、医療などを題材とした、コミュニティ通訳に関する知識を深めるとともに、卒業論文・卒業研究を作成するための基礎的な方法を身につけることを目標とする。

The aim of this seminar is to acquire basic methodology necessary to write graduation thesis/research and to enhance the knowledge of community interpreting and autonomous research capability.
Topics include consultation, legal, education, administrative, and medical interpreting.

コミュニティ通訳における諸問題を考察し、卒業論文・卒業研究を執筆する。

テキストに沿って、コミュニティ通訳に求められる規範や役割論などについて基礎的な内容を学習し、関連する問題について考察していく。具体的には各章ごとに担当者を決め、内容を発表後、ディスカッションを行う。
受講生は11月下旬に草稿を提出すること。1月に卒業論文・卒業研究を提出後、2月上旬に研究報告会を行う。
また授業内で月に1度月例報告会を実施する。

毎回の授業メール（20%）、授業内発表（20％）、提出された論文（60%）などにより授業目標の達成度を評価する。

テキストにはあらかじめ目を通し、疑問点を授業中に質問できるように準備しておくこと。

The participants are required to read the material of the week.

専攻言語は不問だが、英語のテキストも扱うため相応の英文読解力は必要。
教員の指示にしたがって、受講前の予習と受講後の復習を行うこと。
