文化の「差異」を乗り越えるとは、どのようなことなのか。異なる文化が接触する際に、「排除」ではなく「包摂」に向かうようにするには何が必要なのか。多様な文化間を「つなぐ」にはどのような考え方があるのか。文化の多様性とそのコーディネートを実践的に考える際にその基盤となる、理論は概念を習得することを目標とする。

This class aims at learning basic concepts and theories to analyze "multicultural" society and cultural barriers in one society. The students will be required to understand the cause of cultural conflict and barriers, and critically analyze the "multicultural"society with the concept they learn. In the ends, student will be establish their own stand point to grasp "multicultural" society, and be able to show their opinion logically.

差異を乗り越えるための概念にはどのようなものがあるのか。対話やコミュニケーションは、その差異を乗り越えられるのか。差異を乗り越えるための方法論として「異文化コミュニケーション」や「対話」「他者の受容」「多文化主義」などの考え方を学ぶ。

How can we overcome the difference and cultural barriers? What is needed to "inclusive" society when different cultures encounter in one society? In this class, students will learn theories and concepts on cultural diversity, and intercultural competence in order to consider "multicultural" and "inclusive" society.
