Language Pedagogy: Studies in the University Entrance Exam Reform in Japan（E）
 
授業の目標   
文部科学省より「グローバル化に対応した英語教育改革の五つの提言」が2014年に出された。そこには、改革3として「高等学校・大学の英語力の評価及び入学者選抜の改善」に関する提言がなされ、この提言に基づき様々な英語大学入試改革が実行されようとしている。そこで、この授業では、世界の大学入試を概観し、日本の大学入試制度の特性を明らかにする。さらに、現在進行中の日本の大学入試改革を概観し、望ましい4技能型の英語入試のあり方を模索する。
 
Goals of the course   
In 2014 MEXT issued the "English Education Reform Plan corresponding to Globalisation", which included "reform for the assessment of English proficiency of students of upper secondary and tertiary education". In this class, we will review the university entrace exam systems in the world, and clarify the characteristics of Japan's entrance exam system. Furthermore, we will overview the current university entrance exam reform in Japan, and develop an ideal entrance exam which assesses four skills.
 
授業の概要   
１．現在、本ゼミにて執筆中の『世界の大学入試』の完成をする。
２．今日文部科学省により構想されている４技能型の英語入試の導入提案に至る政策の動きを概観する。その上で、4技能型の英語入試のあり方、とりわけスピーキング・テストのあり方を模索するために、スピーキング・テストの開発方法について学び、テスト・デザインを作成する。
 
Overview of the course   
1. We will complete the book "University Entrance Exams in the World", which is now being written in this seminar.
2. We explore various entrance exam systems, and review MEXT's proposal to introduce four-skills university entrance exams. After reviewing the literature of language testing research, we collaboratively develop a new speaking test for the university entrance exams.

授業時の発言や質問により、目標に掲げた自分で調べる力を測る（50％）
期末レポートにより、目標に掲げた実践的な力を測る（50％）

Assess the ability to investigate by participation.(50%)
