Title(English)   
Seminar in English Semantics and Pragmatics
 
授業の目標   
英語の意味論と語用論に関する基本的な概念を学びながら、英語の様々な現象が分析できるようになる。特に、意味や機能の観点から言語現象を分析できるようになる。
 
Goals of the course   
The aims of this course are:
1. to learn various concepts in the field of English semantics and pragmatics.
2. to carry out research in the field of English linguistics.
 
授業の概要   
課題とされた論文を担当者が発表する。発表後に、全体で議論を行う。また、適宜、研究発表も行う。
 
Overview of the course   
This course is designed to read academic texts and discuss various phenomena in English.
