It is desirable that participants prepare for the class by reading the instructor created texts that are distributed for each topic. Also, it is expected that each student strengthen their knowledge of linguistics by reading the reference material.

言語学の基礎を学んでいること(具体的には「言語学概論」を履修済である、など)。ただし意欲のある学生に関してはこの限りではない。専攻語に疲れたあなた、語学の苦手な、そんなあなたにこそ楽しいのが言語学。言語は専攻語だけじゃありません。いろいろあります。何でもありです。

The participants should have basic linguistic skills (more specifically, having completed “Introduction to Linguistics”, etc.). But this shall not apply to students who are eager to learn. Linguistics will be especially fun to students who are tired of studying languages they are majoring in, or have difficulties studying languages. We cover everything.
