Title（English）

Seminar on Chinese Linguistics

授業の目標

(1)中国語学の研究論文を批判的な見地から読み内容を把握できること。(2)中国語学の論文を数多く読むことを通して、次年度の自分自身の卒業論文のテーマを確定すること。(3)次年度中国語学の卒業論文を執筆できるように、論文執筆の方法論を習得すること。

Goals of the course

(1) To read and grasp the contents of research essays about Chinese linguistics from a critical standpoint.
(2) To decide the theme of your graduation thesis for the next year, through reading many essays of Chinese linguistics.
(3) To learn approaches to write essays which will be helpful for writing your graduation thesis in Chinese linguistics for the next year.

授業の概要

この演習には次年度に中国語学で卒業論文を執筆する３年生と、卒業論文執筆該当年の４年生が参加する。各自に担当の論文を割り振り、発表と全員でのディスカッションを進めていく。３年生が読む論文は、中国語学の論文の執筆方法を習得する上で参考になる論文を、教員が準備する。（初回授業時に文献リストを配布する。）４年生は主要には自身の卒業論文の進捗状況の報告をするので、３年生はそれを聞き、卒業論文の具体的な執筆について学ぶ。

Overview of the course

The third year students who will write their graduation thesis for the next year, and the fourth year students who write the graduation thesis participate in this class. Student will have opportunities to present their essays and the class discussion will follow them. The third year students are expected to read essays which will help develop their essay writing skills on Chinese linguistics (the document list will be distributed in the first lecture). The fourth year students are expected to report about their progress of their graduation theses which shows the actual examples of writing theses to the third year students.

成績評価の方法・基準

成績評価の方法：(1)担当論文の発表、(2)質疑応答や議論への積極的貢献度、(3)学期末ミニレポートに基いて評価する。
成績評価の基準：読んだ論文の内容を正しく理解し、ミニレポートにおいて自身の考えを述べることができたかを基準とする。

Grading system for assessment

The assessment will be based on the (1) presentations for the essays, (2) positive participation in QAs and discussions, and the (3) end-term mini report.

事前・事後学習【要する時間の目安】

事前学習：次回の授業で読む論文については、発表者のみならず、発表担当でない場合も、必ず事前に目を通しておくこと。
事後学習：参考資料を調査しつつ授業後の復習を行うこと。

Be sure to read essays prior to the class.
Review the class examining the reference materials.

履修上の注意

(1)三宅教員と加藤教員の「東アジア地域言語論 / アジア言語研究Ⅰ（講義）」をどちらも必ず履修すること。
(2)基本的には、次年度に三宅教員の卒論演習に出て卒業論文を執筆する学生が受講する授業である。ただし、次年度に加藤教員の卒論演習に出て卒業論文を執筆する学生はサブゼミとして受講可とする。
アクティブ・ラーニングとして、４年生の卒論中間発表会に出席し、議論を進める。

Notes

(1) Take this course along with professor Kato’s 「東アジア地域言語論 / アジア言語研究Ⅰ（講義）」.
(2) Basically this class is for the students who will write the graduation thesis in professor Miyake's graduation thesis course next year. However, students who will write the graduation thesis in professor Kato's graduation thesis course next year are also welcomed.
As a part of active learning, students will participate in the mid-term graduation thesis presentation by the fourth year students.
