ポルトガル語学や関連する分野を専攻しようとする者がポルトガル語の歴史に関係する通時言語学的テーマや各時代の言語作品などについての基本的知識を得る．それをもとに自分自身でテーマを発見し，展開できるようになることを目的とする．

Students majoring in Portuguese linguistics or related areas will aim to acquire a basic knowledge of the synchronic linguistics themes related to the history of Portuguese. Based on that, the students will aim to find individual themes and develop them.

|
|
ポルトガル語史やイベリア半島のロマンス語に関わるテーマについての基礎的問題を選び，講義，演習形式で授業を進める．
|
|
|
|
Basic issues related to the history of Portuguese and Iberian Romance languages will be selected and the course will progress through lectures and exercises.

レポート（５０％），および授業で課した課題やコメントシートなどに基づく平常点（５０％）による．レポートは授業で扱われた内容に関連し，特定のテーマを教員と協議し選び，学期末までに提出すること．

Grading will be based on the report (50％) and class participation (assignments in class, comment sheets, etc.) (50％). The report will be relevant to the contents covered in class and, after discussing a specific theme with the instructor, will be submitted by the end of the term.

あらかじめテキストには目を通し、疑問点を授業中に質問できるようにし，単語などはあらかじめ辞書で意味と発音を調べておくこと．

Look through texts beforehand and clarify any issues during class. Look up the meanings and pronunciation of words in the dictionary.

ポルトガル語学で卒論を執筆することを考えている者は３年次に履修することが望ましい．あらかじめテキストには目を通し、疑問点を授業中に質問できるようにし，単語などはあらかじめ辞書で意味と発音を調べておくこと．

It is recommended that students considering writing a graduation thesis on Portuguese linguistics participate this class in their third year. Look through texts beforehand and clarify any issues during class. Look up the meanings and pronunciation of words in the dictionary.
