Rethinking of World History
 
授業の目標   
ローカルの発展、動きも孤立してあるわけではない。世界でのつながりは古くから意外に強いものであった。さらに、現代に近づくにつれネットワークは緊密さを拡大している。そうした関わりの中で人間の生活がどのようにして、大きく変動するのか理解することを目指す。とくに、現在自分たちがごく自然なことと受け止めていることも歴史の中でいつか常識化したのであって決して自然ではない。人間の多様なあり方、考え方、感じ方を創造できるようにして欲しい。
 
Goals of the course   
The developments in local areas are not isolated events. Relationships among communities in the world are surprisingly strong from the ancient times. And the closeness of the community networks has been accelerating in modern times. Students aim to understand how our life style changes greatly in such relationships. What we think natural is not actually natural until it came to be commonly accepted as natural at a certain time of the history. This course encourages you to develop diversity in how we live, how we think, and how we feel.
 
授業の概要   
6人の教員がリレー方式で講義する。各教員２コマずつでコンパクトに歴史の変動を説明する。わかりにくい場合もあり得るのでコメント・シートで質問、コメントを積極的に知らせて欲しい。それに越えてながらいくらかはインターラクティブ性を活かしてゆきたい。地域は欧米、アジアからアフリカ、時代も15，6世紀から21世紀までを視野に入れて世界的なネットワークがローカルにどのようにインパクトを与えるかを見てゆく。
 
Overview of the course   
Six professors, are going to give two lectures each. They will briefly explain the epoch-making changes in the history. Students are encouraged to submit questions or comments using comment sheets. I will try to use an interactive approach in my lectures by answering these questions. This course will cover areas including Europe, Asia and Africa, and the time period from 15,6 to 21 centuries. Students will look into how global networks have impacted local areas.

授業はチームで行う。従って現在の授業構成は仮のものである。来年度の担当者の予定が確定してから構成や内容を入れ替えることがあるので注意して欲しい。初回の授業案内で確定した構成､成績評価方法等を知らせる。
