１） 質的調査の多様な方法論とその論点について、研究事例を含めて基本的な理解を得る。２）社会学や人類学を主とする分野でのレポートや卒論の作成でフィールドワークを行う際の、研究調査計画立案から現場調査実施、分析、成果報告までの一連の過程に必要とされる基礎知識を習得する。３）質的調査の研究計画案を作成できるようになる。

1) Obtain basic understanding of various methods and important points of qualitative research, looking at study cases.
2) Acquire basic knowledge of planning, field study, analysis, and reporting of results required when conducting field work to write reports and graduation theses in the areas of sociology or anthropology.
3) Be able to make a plan of qualitative research study

質的調査は人間の生の現実を深く理解するための方法論として、また現場を内側から経験し記述する方法論として用いられている。本講義ではフィールドワークやエスノグラフィーを含む質的調査研究について、第一に近年の研究アプローチの展開を、学部生レベルの調査から専門的調査研究まで具体的事例から検討する。第二に、質的調査研究を行うにあたって、フィールドワークをどのように計画、実施し、現場での経験をどのように分析し記述するのか、その方法論を学ぶ。

Qualitative research is a methodology to gain a deep insight into people's real lives, to get inner experience of a field, and describe it.
In this course, we examine recent approaches of qualitative research studies including field works and ethnography, looking at a variety of research examples conducted by students as well as professionals.
Secondly, we study methodologies of how we plan and conduct a field work, analyze and describe experiences on the field.
