Through the learning basic communication theories, students will deepen their understanding of the various ways in which we communicate.

事前にテキストを読んだ上で出席する。授業の最初に、基礎的知識に関する小テスト（クイズ）を毎回実施する。続いて、授業の講義を聞き、小グループでディスカッションを行う。

|
Read textbooks (written in Japanese) prior to attending classes. A quiz on the fundamentals will be given at the beginning of each class. A lecture will follow and then students will break up into small discussion groups.

Although classes will progress one chapter at a time, we will not necessarily follow the text. Major points in each chapter will be taken up, covered in depth and then used as points for discussion.

必ずテキストの該当部分を読んでから、授業に出席すること。

Relevant sections of the text must be read prior to attending each class.

事前に指定図書の指定箇所（１回につき、１章～2章）を必ず読んで、疑問点や面白い点を明確にした上で、授業に出席すること。その上で討議に積極的に参加すること。
この授業はコミュニケーションを実践する場である。ノートは取らなくて良いので、自分の意見を積極的に表明すること。
コミュニケーションに関するアンケート作成と実施を課すことがある。

Students must read assigned materials and sections (1 chapter for each class), and carefully prepare any questions or interesting points for discussion prior to attending each class. Active participation in discussions is also expected.
This course provides an arena for practicing communication. Note taking will not be required, therefore it will be expected that students be assertive in class.
Making and conducting a questionnaire regarding communication might be expected.
