Foundation of Intercultural Communication

異文化間コミュニケーション論の基礎を学ぶことを通して、私たちはそれぞれ違った世界を眺めていることを理解する。

Through learning the fundamentals of intercultural communication theory, students will understand how each of us hold differing views of the world.

事前にその週で扱うテキストの章を読んでから、授業に臨む。毎週、授業最初に基礎的知識に関する小テスト(クイズ)を行う。続いて、関連する内容についての講義を受け、小グループでディスカッションを行う。
|
|
|
|
Students must be prepared for each class by reading each week’s assigned chapters from the text beforehand. A quiz on the fundamentals will be given at the beginning of each class. A lecture will follow and then students will break up into small discussion groups.

この授業はコミュニケーションを実践する場である。ノートは取らなくて良いので、自分の意見を積極的に表明することが推奨される。

Students must read assigned materials and sections (1 chapter for each class), and carefully prepare any questions or interesting points for discussion prior to attending each class. Active participation in discussions is also expected.
This course provides an arena for practicing communication. Note taking will not be required, therefore it will be expected that students be assertive in class.
