ジェンダー学の基本的な知識を習得することが目標。基本的な専門用語（「ジェンダー」「セクシュアリティ」「フェミニズム」「女性学」「男性学」など）を理解し、それらを適切に運用できることを目指す。社会においていかにジェンダー規範が作用しているかを具体的に考察するため、事例研究を行う。また、時事的なジェンダーの諸問題を取り上げ、これを検討する。

The main purpose of this class is to obtain a basic knowledge of gender studies and to understand technical terms, such as “gender,” “sexuality,” “feminism,” “women’s studies,” and “men’s studies.”We will research case studies to investigate how gender norms operate in a society. And, the class will focus on several historical or recent issues concerning gender.
