AUTUMN During the Autumn term students start each class by sharing information and insights from the core text in small groups about how to 'break through the invisible boundaries of global business'. During the second part of each class Students form project groups based on geographic regions to identify core differences between business culture in Japan and one other geographic country/region. Students work individually and collaboratively to discover --sometimes surprising cultural similarities-- and to innovative possibilities for creative, win-win, business partnering with the country/region of Students' choice. Output should demonstrate one or more strategy to 'break through the invisible boundaries of global business' and can be in the form of (1) a presentation with PowerPoint/Prezi slideshow or (2) a performance of a negotiation or other scene from a global business collaboration. NOTE: This is not a lecture class. The teacher co-facilitates student-led discussion of the core-text groups during the first part of each class and draws on professional coaching skills to support Student-led project groups for the second half.
