授業の目標   
通訳・翻訳のプロセスや業界について学ぶ。様々な教材の通訳・翻訳に挑戦してみることで、英語・日本語でのコミュニケーション・スキルを向上させる。
 
Goals of the course   

To learn about interpretation/translation process and industry. Students will try interpreting and translating different kinds of materials to better communication skills both in English and Japanese.
 
授業の概要   
様々な種類のスピーチ、インタビューの通訳に挑戦し、クラスメートや講師からフィードバックを受ける。様々な種類のドキュメント、インターネット素材を翻訳し、プロの仕事と比較することで、それぞれの場面における理想的な翻訳とは何かを分析する。
 
Overview of the course   

Students will try interpreting different types of speeches/interviews and will be receiving feedback from fellow classmates and the instructor. After translating different types of documents and webpages, the class will compare their work against that of professionals to analyze what is ideal translation in different contexts.
