授業の目標   
アメリカの大学の授業では毎回膨大な予習（Reading）が課され、受講者の授業の理解はその予習の程度に大きく依存する。本授業の目標は、国際政治学あるいは国際関係論のアカデミックな文献を、正確に読みこなすためのリーディング力を養うことにある。
 
Goals of the course   
The objective of this course is to develop students' skill to read the most-widely used textbook in international relations courses in many American universities.
 
授業の概要   
本授業では、理解度を測るための＜単語・文法ポイント＞および＜読解ポイント＞というプリントの問題く形で、テキストの内容を確実に理解していく。
 
Overview of the course   
Students are assigned to read a few pages of the textbook for each class. In-class work confirming the student's comprehension is also assigned.

平常点(20%)と学期末試験(80%)。平常点は授業内課題によって評価する。

Grades will be based on final exam (80%) and in-class works (20%).

履修上の注意   
不可欠な基礎知識の解説は適時行うが、基本的には国際政治学や国際関係論に関心ある学生を歓迎。

国際政治学、国際関係論、外交論/史を専攻し、英米の大学留学を希望し、実際に留学した学生が多数受講していました。
