This course focuses on developing reading and listening skills by using bottom-up and top-down processing skills. Students will also need to synthesize information from reading and listening passages into written paragraph form.

Participation: Each week students will be expected to write a summary on the weekly theme. 30 points
Reading review: Student will discuss one of the previous themes. They are expected to synthesize reading and listening material. 30 points (3X10)
Listening review: Students will take a listening quiz based on short lecture. 30 points (3X10)
Final Review: Students will have to integrate a reading passage and listening material based on one theme. 10 points
