This course is designed to help students develop their English writing, speaking, and reading skills. Students who diligently complete assignments and actively participate in class will see improvement in these essential academic skills. In addition this course also seeks to improve students confidence in speaking and writing in English.

Throughout this course, we will explore questions regarding our place in the world and what it means to live in an increasingly global society. Students will complete weekly readings and brief writing assignments in order to prepare for class discussions.
