タイ語の読解能力を高めつつ、タイの政治社会文化への理解を深めます。タイに関する種々様々な情報を、批判的に取捨選択して受け入れる能力を身につけます。

タイの政治を、歴史と地域比較の観点から、説明します。タイの経済は比較的順調に発展してきました。しかし、政治面では民主化が滞っています。なぜ民主化が進まないのか。近代以後のタイの政治の主役は君主制でした。君主制と民主制の関係を念頭において、政治を解説します。 授業時には、当該講義のトピックと関連したタイ語の研究文献や一次資料を講読文献として利用する予定です。その読み方を説明することで、タイ語の能力向上も目指します。

I would like to talk about Thai politics from historical and comparative perspective. Democratization in Thailand is stagnating. Reasons for the failure are explained. Focus will be on the relationship between the monarchy and democracy.

受講希望者には、講義時に講読予定のタイ語文献(電子ファイル)を送付します。開講1週間前までに、本講義用に用意したアドレスtamada.tufs@gmail.comへ空メールを送ってください。文献ファイルを添付して返信します。それに事前に目を通しておいてください。

Students are expected to read assigned documents. They should send an e-mail to this lecturer (tamada.tufs@gmail.com) to get the documents. The documents will be e-mailed to the applicants.We are to read and talk about the documents in the class.
