Through learning the history of Arabic literature, this course aims to develop skill of reading various styles of Arabic texts written in various periods of time, besides deepening the knowledge about history and culture of Arab people.

After learning historical, social, and cultural backgrounds of each period through reading text about the Arabic literature, we will read examples of literary works which represent each period.
