The aim of this course is to improve the students' reading skills and general knowledge of English through reading an introduction to linguistic science.

Evans (2009)『The Language Myth: Why Language is not an Instinct』を丁寧に読んでいく。授業の最初には前回の復習と予習範囲に関する小テストを行う。授業では担当者が内容の要約を報告した後で、全員で内容を確認していく。
