個々の興味関心に応じ、研究対象を絞り込む道筋を見定める。共通の切り口として、オセアニア及びアフリカの国々における教育を入り口に文化、社会、歴史、民族、国家、家族など、現代社会の様々な事象や課題について考察するとともに、それらを通じてある程度専門的な英語を用いることを目標とする。

The objective of this course is to help students use English actively as a means of discussion and presentation. Also this aims to ask students to deepen their own research proposals along their area studies and individual interests. To make a research proposal in English is one of the main goals of this course, too.

教育を共通の切り口に、オンライン素材などを用いながら学生個々の興味に合わせ、それぞれ特定の地域について学ぶ。プレゼンテーションなどにより、それぞれの課題意識の共有をし、ディスカッションによって多角的な視点を獲得する。各自の課題について、ある程度専門的な英語を用いて論じる下地を作り、研究の方向性を見定める。

The main focus of this course are individual presentation and further discussion. Active use of English and supportive and rich discussion is highly expected.
