Title（English）   
English phonetics
 
授業の目標   
英語の発音の中でも特に文単位の発話における分節音の発音，リズムとイントネーションについて正しい知識を身につけ，場面と文体にあった発音でコミュニケーションを行えるようになること。
 
Goals of the course   
By the end of the course, students will have gained knowledge of the pronunciation of segments, rhythm and intonation of English at sentence-level and above, and are able to communicate using correct pronunciation which is appropriate to the situation and style of speech.
 
授業の概要   
子音連続，リズム，イントネーションなど，項目ごとのルールの説明を聞き，実際に発音したり聴き取ったりする演習を行う。関連文献も読む。
 
Overview of the course   
Students will learn the rules of pronunciation of consonant clusters, rhythm and intonation, and practise pronouncing and listening to actual sounds in context. They will also read articles and papers on pronunciation.

文献については事前に英語の単語，表現を調べておくこと。
前回までに説明のあった事項についてはよく復習し，CDを使って該当箇所に関連した発音練習をしておくこと。

Read through articles and papers and look up new words and expressions in the dictionary before coming to class.
Revise what were explained in class, and practise pronunciation at home.
