パラグラフの書き方から始め、Introduction、Body、 Conclusionの備わった文章の書き方を学ぶ。エッセイで例示をしたり、論拠を提示する練習をおこない、トピックは自分の経験、時事問題など幅広く取り上げる。学生同士で課題を読み講評する。

First, the students will learn how to write paragraphs. Then, they will write academic essays. They will practice how to provide examples and supply reasons. The topics of the essays will range from describing personal experiences to global issues. The students will give peer feedback on their essays.

基本的には英語で授業を行なう。 遅刻3回で欠席一回とみなす。30分以上の遅刻は欠席とみなす。 提出物の遅延、宿題の未了は減点の対象となる。

All communication conducted in class will be in English. Arriving late three times will be counted as one absence. Persons 30 minutes late will be considered absent. Assignments that are late will be downgraded.
