春期にオーストラリアにおける教育を学んだが、今期は移民を受け入れ、教育することでホスト社会がどの様に影響を受けるかを読み取り、その方法論も含めて考察していく。学生は必ずしも教育学を学ぶ必要はないが、言語の専門家として、開発教育等に応用可能な知見を得ることができる。

本講座では、移民を受け入れ教育することでホスト社会がどの様に影響を受けるかを読み取り、その方法論を考察していく。教材は主にオーストラリアに関するものを扱うが、事例としてアメリカなどにも触れる。
授業は読み込んだコンテンツについてのディスカッション、プレゼンテーションなどを組み合わせたものとするが、可能なかぎり英語を使うことが第一の目的である。

毎回の授業には、指定された参考文献をあらかじめ読んだ上で出席すること。また別途指示により、オンライン教材による学習も課される。
