Gender and Peace
 
授業の目標   
 
Goals of the course   
Students will be expected to gain a working knowledge of aspects of feminist and gender scholarship most relevant to international peace and human rights.
Students will become familiar with the complexity of the multiple forms of violence, the gendered character of various forms of violence, and movements for gender equity and equality intended to reduce and eliminate them.
Students will learn some approaches to the gender analysis of problems of peace and justice.
Students will review and analyze the problematic of patriarchy, its characteristics and relationship to peace and human rights.

Overview of the course   
This course will explore the intersections and interrelationships of gender, peace and development, and the consequences of gender inequality to the achievement of peace.
