Title（English）   
An Introduction to Corpus Linguistics
 
授業の目標   
(1) コーパスの分析方法(用例を定量的に分析することができるようになる)
(2) 用例抽出の方法(用例検索の技法がわかる。エクセルを利用した検索技法が利用できる)
(3) 用例の定性的な分析(コーパスから抽出した用例を分析することで、用例から言語特徴を把握できるようになる)
(4) 用例分析の方法(ことばの定量分析の技法がわかる。エクセルを利用した関数計算ができる)
 
Goals of the course   
The lecture aims to
* provide an introduction to corpus linguistics;
* educate students on the importance of relation between corpus linguistics adn language education;
* familiarize students with major corpus resources and tools.
 
授業の概要   
言語コーパスとは何かを理解し、コーパスの基本的な作成方法と利用方法を実例と実習をもとにして学びます。用例を定量的に分析するための考え方を平行して学習することで、コーパス分析の様々な方法論を学びます。
 
Overview of the course   
On successful completion of the lecture, students will be able to
* get familiar with major corpus methodology and recognize the interrelationship among the quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis;
* understand the major theoretical frameworks in corpus linguistics and apply the corpus-based approach in the research on language education.

事前・事後学習【要する時間の目安】   
配布資料には予め目を通し、関心のある点や概念把握が難しい点などを授業中に質問できるように準備しておくこと。
課題の提出期限を守り、指定の期日及び時間までに提出すること。
